UAE Final Settlement Calculator
Your final settlement is bigger than your gratuity. It can include leave you never took, notice that was cut short, and days you worked but were not paid for. This sheet adds every line, so you can put your figure next to your employer's.
Your employer has 14 days. Article 53 says wages, gratuity and other dues must be paid within 14 days of the contract ending. Ask for a written line-by-line breakdown before you sign.
What is included in a UAE final settlement?
Usually five parts: end-of-service gratuity (Article 51), pay for annual leave you earned but did not take (Article 29), pay in lieu of notice if the notice was cut short (Article 43), salary for days worked and not yet paid, and any other agreed dues. Money you owe the employer can be deducted.
Gratuity AED 55,000 + 10 unused leave days on basic (10 × 333.33 = AED 3,333.33) + 29 salary days on full wage (29 × 500 = AED 14,500) = AED 72,833.33.

Is unused annual leave paid on basic or full salary?
On basic salary. The law and the 2022 executive regulations say unused leave is paid as a cash allowance based on the basic wage. Annual leave is 30 days a year after one year of service, and 2 days a month between six months and one year.
What is pay in lieu of notice in the UAE?
Article 43 sets a notice period of 30 to 90 days. If one side ends the contract without giving the notice, it pays the other side the wage for the notice period, or for the part not served.
How long does the employer have to pay my final settlement?
Article 53: within 14 days of the end of the contract. That covers wages, gratuity and other dues. If it is late, you can raise a complaint with MOHRE online or through the MOHRE app.
Can my employer deduct money from my final settlement?
Article 51 lets the employer deduct from the gratuity amounts you owe by law or under a court ruling, such as a loan or salary advance, under the conditions in the executive regulations. Deductions must be real debts; ask for a written breakdown of each line before you sign.
